 1. General Information

Data security and data protection are matters of great priority for us. For this reason, we have taken comprehensive technical and organisational measures in accordance with the applicable data protection regulations to ensure the security of your personal data. We would like to take this opportunity to inform you about how your personal data is used, as well as about the use of cookies and analytics tools on our website. 3. Object of Data Protection

The object of data protection is personal data. According to the Federal Data Protection Law, personal data comprises individual information concerning the personal or material circumstances of a particular natural person, or one whose identity may be determined from such data. This includes, for example, information such as a person’s name, postal address, email address, or telephone number, but potentially also user information such as your IP address.

4. Collection, Processing, and Use of Your Personal Data

The scope and manner of the collection, processing, and use of your personal data depends on whether you are merely visiting our website for information purposes, or whether you also use our website to correspond with us, or use it actively to rent a dress.

a) Purely Informational Use

The provision of personal data is not necessary for the purely informational use of our website. Rather, in this event, we collect and use only such data as is automatically provided by your Internet browser (in particular your IP address). This information is only stored – in non-anonymised form – for the duration of your visit to the website, and an evaluation is later made in anonymised form for statistical purposes only. Accordingly, no personal data concerning you is collected.

b) Active Use of the Website / Renting

Insofar as you actively use the website and rent a dress, the data you provide in the course of purchase (in particular your first and last name, e-mail address, postal address etc.) are stored and processed in order to enable you to rent via the website.

5. External Service Providers

It may be necessary in addressing your specific matter that your personal data be transmitted to external service providers acting exclusively on our behalf. We ensure that the external service providers use your personal data only in accordance with our instructions and in accordance with this Data Protection Declaration and the statutory provisions regarding contract data processing. We always treat your personal data with the strictest confidentiality, and never disclose it to third parties not acting on our behalf, unless with your prior consent or because we are legally entitled or obligated to make such disclosure.

6. Payment Service Providers

We also use various payment service providers for executing payment transactions. These include, in particular:

Stripe (www.stripe.com)

With regard to the processing of personal data by the payment service providers, those providers’ data protection declarations apply.

Payment information is always stored on the servers of the payment service provider in question, used for transactions, and processed.

In accordance with statutory provisions, you have the right to be informed free of charge concerning your stored data, as well as a right to the correction, blocking, or deletion of such data, as applicable. 9. Use of Cookies

Our website uses “cookies”. Cookies are text files that are stored on your computer.

We use cookies in order to better understand how visitors use our website, as well as to improve its attractiveness, contents, and functionality. For example, cookies help us to determine whether, and which, subpages of our website receive visitors, what content is of interest to visitors, and to evaluate this information for statistical purposes. The use of cookies does not entail the collection or storage of your personal data.

If you wish, you may deactivate the use of cookies at any time via your Internet browser settings. Please use the help function of your browser to determine how to change these settings.

10. Google Analytics

Our website makes use of Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies” – text files which are stored on your computer and which permit an analysis to be made of your use of the website.

Google uses this information at our request in order to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports regarding the website activities, and to provide us further services related to the use of the website and the Internet. The IP address of your browser transmitted by Google Analytics is not combined with or matched to other data belonging to Google.

11. Google Adwords

We use “Google Adwords” on our website website. This is an online advertising website of Google Inc. that is operated in the United States of America. One component of Google Adwords is “conversion tacking”, which we also use, and which involves the use of cookies. If a user clicks on an advertisement presented by Google, a conversion tracking cookie with a validity of 30 days is stored in the user’s browser. You cannot be personally identified as the user by means of this cookie. This cookie allows us and Google to determine that a user has clicked on a particular advertisement and been directed by it to our website. This cookie can only be attributed by Google and by us, and not by other Google Adwords clients, as each Google Adwords client is issued its own cookie. Through conversion tracking, we receive statistical evaluations from Google of visitors referred to us by Google advertising. If you do not wish to be recorded by conversion tracking, you may prevent this by either disabling all cookies in your browser, or blocking cookies from the domain “googleadservices.com” specifically.

Further information in this regard may be found at www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/.

12. Facebook Insights

Conversion Measurement via Facebook Insights

Within our Facebook Page (but not on the website), we make use of the “Facebook Insights” analysis tool of Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”). By means of this tool, we can track the actions of users after they have watched or clicked on a Facebook advertisement. We can thus record the effectiveness of the Facebook advertisements for statistical and market research purposes. The data acquired in this way remains anonymous to us, i.e. we do not see the personal data of individual users. However, this information is stored and processed by Facebook; we will keep you informed of such use as much as possible. Facebook may connect this information to your Facebook account and use it for its own marketing purposes in accordance with Facebook’s own data use guidelines (see https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/). You may make it possible for Facebook and its partners to display advertisements within and outside of Facebook. In addition, a cookie may be stored on your computer for this purpose. Further information in this regard may be found at https://www.facebook.com/help/568137493302217.

18. Contract Data Processing

We use various third-party service providers to provide the services of this website. Insofar as this involves the processing of personal data, such service providers always act as contract data processors on our behalf.

19. Security of Your Data

The data you provide us is protected by appropriate technical and organisational measures in order to safeguard it again, in particular, random or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction, or access by unauthorised persons.

20. Updating of this Data Protection Declaration

This Data Protection Declaration may be updated on occasion. Insofar as further consent shall be required to an amendment of this Data Protection Declaration, you will be contacted for such consent accordingly.
